Cranbrook Foundation No.1, undated

 File — Container: Box 1, Folder: 5

Collection Scope

From the Collection:

The collection consists of photocopies of excerpts from the diaries of Kate Thompson Bromley. The diary entries document Bromley’s association with Cranbrook personalities, especially those relating to the Academy of Art. Much of the excerpts pertain to Bromley’s relationship with Carl and Olga Milles, and include accounts of visits to their home and studio, and to events and parties with other Cranbrook artists and individuals. A large portion of the material is devoted to political issues, both at Cranbrook and in the world in general. Entries also reflect Bromley’s personal views and observations of the people and events at Cranbrook spanning a 40-year time period.
