Abstract Ralph Rapson, born on September 13, 1914, in Alma, Michigan, won a scholarship to the University of Michigan's College of Architecture in 1935. Admitted to the Phi Kappa Phi Society in 1938, he was encouraged to apply for the George G. Booth Travelling Fellowship in Architecture. Collection Scope From the Collection:

The bulk of the collection consists of Ms. Corbett’s research of Ellen Scripps Booth and Nellie Beveridge Gray. Of particular note are the transcripts of the oral histories performed by Ms. Corbett of Ms. Gray between 1984 and 1989. Ms. Gray provides insight into both Cranbrook and the Booth family in the last years of George and Ellen Booth’s lives.
